Statistics about the use of IEKO

Thanks to Digits.net, IEKO uses a visit counter for each article, which is shown in the colophon. This allows to collect statistics about its usage, as described in a Letter to the editor of KO.

The same article explains why such statistics should not be taken as a measure of the overall quality or importance of individual articles, but only as an evaluation of how often certain topics and sectors of KO are searched, checked or used in KO education. A useful picture can be obtained by combining visit data with the categorization of entries in the systematic index, so that the most popular categories can be identified.

All figures below are expressed as average number of visits per day after the article has been published online.

In April 2021, overall visits had been 131,718 (plus a minor fraction before counters were introduced in 2019). Individual pages had been visited 4,30 times per day on average.
